I’ve been involved in a new project over the last few months, SciFiwise.com. This is a website dedicated to showcasing great speculative fiction from award-winning authors like Ken Liu, Nancy Kress, James Patrick Kelly, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, John Kessel, and David Langford, with many more to come.

The site has unique features for reading that are normally not found on websites, making the SciFiwise website more like an ebook reading experience. These features including full-page turning, automatically saving the last read position and syncing it across devices, the ability to customize your reading experience in several ways, and allowing you to “collect” stories on a read later list.

All the stories contain lavish illustrations, further adding to the reading experience. (Early feedback from several authors is that these are among the best illustrations they’ve ever seen for their stories.)

The website is highly interactive, richly illustrated, and adorned with fun animations. It includes video “author notes” for most stories. It will also feature full author interviews, news, and other speculative fiction content. Readers can rate and react to stories, and there is a planned recommendation system based on the latest AI tech.

All the website features in the world don’t matter if the content isn’t amazing. Well, we have that covered: SciFiwise is already becoming a who’s who of major award-winning speculative fiction authors.

SciFiwise is free for anyone to read one story per week plus partial access to past archive stories. Low cost subscriptions are available to unlock at least one additional story per week and gain full access to past story archives.

Anonymous reading of unlocked stories is allowed, but for the best experience, you should at least create a login (no payment required, easy registration takes under 30 seconds or just login using your google account). Creating a login enables us to save your last read position and reading preferences.
